Wireless Home Networking – Aztech HomePlug AV EW110
The new Aztech HL 110EW 200Mbps HomePlug AV device is one device that looks like a simple extension socket plug, except that it is not to transmit electricity. It comes with 2 Ethernet ports in this device and Wifi broadcasting capabilities.
Creating home networking is one big headache for even the experts. Not only the wiring part is one hell of a job, even if you choose to go wireless, the configuration process is complex and even the slightest tinge of incompatibility in the hardware between the USB adapter and router can result in erratic connections, sudden disconnections or weak reception at the receiver end. In the past, if you want to relay a signal across the house to improve on signal quality, we will need to use 2 routers and configure one to receive and broadcast the signal again.
The communication part between these 2 or more routers is very difficult to setup and it requires every router to be hardwired first. Finish off with the configuration, then unplug and leave it untouched. One power trip or some one messes with the router buttons such as hitting the reset switch, that’s it. Back to square one.
The good news is that now you can create a home network by simply plugging one device into any power socket and it instantly turns into a LAN port. No configurations, no setups, no mess just plug and play.
All you need to do is connect one part of the device to your router and plug the other device to any power socket and turn it on. It will instantly receive the signal from the transmitter at the router side and becomes a network port right at the power socket on the wall. No drilling, no configuration and most importantly it works. Plug the Ethernet cable to it and turn on your computer or game console and get online instantly. This device emulates the effect that makes your game console thinks that you are hardwired, so there are no settings to set at all.
This Aztech HomePlug AV 110ew device is so cool that I will be getting one of these to make life easier for myself when it comes to wireless internet set up. Who says that home networking is hard? Not anymore
