Is ipad worth buying?

Will I buy the iPad?  If this is already the 20^th article you are combing through the web for an answer, my answer to you is NO.  I will not buy iPad.  Now you can add my vote to your balloting boxes.

In case you might be wondering why I do not feel that iPad is worth it.  There are quite a few major issues with iPad if you do not know.  It is disgusting that the developers had to conceal the ugly side of that product and if you are not informed of the truth about that device, it is just like getting a wife not knowing that she cannot have babies.

1.  iPad does not have a camera.  There are hundred and one uses for a camera and we know it.  With that device, we can snap photos of locations and save them down.  A camera on a tablet computer is god send to a movie director or artist who needs to get a quick over view of the scene.

2.  No usb ports, my goodness.  I was shaking my head when I realized this. If a smart phone can come with a mini-usb port, I could not accept the fact that such a huge device refuse to include a usb port.  Usb thumb drives are such a common medium among the working class to exchange files and information.  Just imagine this scenario, you open up a bunch of pictures on the iPad and your friend or colleague wants a few of those.  Stick in his thumb drive and copy over.  This is not possible.

There is also no slot for micro SD card, this means that you cannot copy your documents or files out from iPad even if you intend to do any work on it.  If the iPad has to be a device suitable for the working class, some form of storage options has to exist or else this device is practically useless.

3.  It does not allow muti-tasking and this is a shame.  If iPhone and iPod does at least allow listening to music as you surf or read.  I see no reason why this huge behemoth is unable to do that.  How boring can it get if you can only do one thing at a time.  Means you need to close the Safari if you need to check your messenger or read email.

4.  No flash in its web browser.  How phenomenal can a web surfing experience be if the browser does not display flash.  For those who are using skyfire browser for Windows Mobile smart phones would have seen the almost full support for flash and viewing of youtube videos off the browser directly without the use of apps.  You will not be able to enjoy the interactive and immersive contents of the full web.

I would wait for its second version before deciding if I will buy iPad. This current version of iPad would only be a hype and it for sure will not last long.  A revision of this product is a must if it was to be a good contender to the tablet market.  Look at the hefty price tag.  I could get one netbook which does all the things that this iPad cannot do.   Why would I want to buy an iPad?
