VPS Web Hosting is the perfect middle ground between a shared platform and a dedicated server, with the only restriction to new blogs / websites, being the cost! Having said that, the added SEO benefits of increased speed & reliability, may well be enough to justify such costs to many webmasters. I must admit that I am tempted myself, although having heard varous comments about the VPS starter plans having less actually resources than your typical shared hosting, it has left me with a few doubts, especially as my current host is very good anyway, even though it is a shared hosting plan!
I’ve been on a VPS for about a year now and I love it! You are right, there was no way that I could have spent $200+ per month on hosting. Choosing a VPS was the perfect choice for me.
