Diary Update 25-Oct-2009

Well guys it has been exactly 2 weeks since my last update, but don’t think for a moment I’ve been relaxing in the sun enjoying the odd beer or two! Oh no, I have still been hard at work pushing & promoting this blog in lots of different ways. I did mention in my last update, that I was going to try out Google’s Adwords as they were kind enough to offer $100 free advertising

Now call me Mr. Ungrateful if you must, but almost $100 for 411 visitors doesn’t stike me as a particularly good investment, or is it..? Maybe I’m expecting a little too much after all this blog is still less than 2 months old & we must also bear in mind that if your chosen keywords are a true reflection of what your blog / website is about, then these visitors are indeed targeted visitors as opposed to the sort of traffic you get from various traffic exchange programs, such as TrafficSwarm, Hits4U, TrafficG etc.

Well as can clearly be seen in this image, Google has been very busy adjusting various placements since the last check on the 8th Oct. In fact the 2 columns of blue crosses clearly show that those particular keywords have only recently been added. However after checking the last update I find that the same keywords were in fact listed then also, so it would seem that some time over the last 2 weeks, these keywords had been dropped & then re-added. Google Dance strikes again hahaha !

The current ranking check showed a total of 310 listings in the top 50 & 265 of these are actually listed in the top 10 of the various search engines, including Google as can be seen in the image above.

Well the stats from CPanel show that our visitors have very nearly doubled compared to September stats of 871 visitors, in fact by the end of the month we will be over double as the average number of visitors per day is now 154.44. So guys it would seem that everything is moving along very nicely at the moment.
