This device also allows you to play MP3 files which is a bonus since reading for an extended time can be tiring. There is also an SD card slot for additional storage. Battery life is rated at 20 hours or 11,500 page flips.
Oaxis Ebook Reader W960
Oaxis Ebook Reader is a very light weight feather weighing only 152 grams, despite being so light it still comes with 2 Gigs worth of internal storage which is more than enough storage of books for a few generations. If you feel that that is not enough, you can still use the SD card storage. The SD card storage can also be used to store music files. You can use the directional pad to turn the pages or simply use the touch sensitive keys. There are also 2 buttons on the back of the E-reader to scroll up and down or act as a volume control. It supports MP3, WMA and AAC formats. This device has a 3.5 mm ear phone jack.

iPad
Oh Noooo….. Enough hype about this one. Yes me too, initially I thought this one is just a blown up iPod touch or iPhone without the phone capabilities. The advantages of buying this device now is that Amazon has released a Kindle app for the iPad, which means that if you buy the iPad, you will not be limited to the books that are on sale in the Apple’s iPad’s iBookstore. You will be able to buy books from Amazon as well which has a whopping 450,000 catalogue of e-books. Wifi functionality and full color display with outstanding gaming capabilities is all too well known to everyone. It looks like the iPad has been released from the execution field.
Kindle
Kindle reader is one of the first such devices to appear on the e-book arena. But many people are skeptical about how this device is going to be able to come close to reading a real book. It has taken another major hit when Apple’s iPhone apps allowed people to read e-books as well. This makes kindle look redundant as it can not do more than the iPhone. But ever since its partnership with Amazon and improving on it’s device usability, it is starting to stand its ground, since iPad is obviously copying e-book readers concept. The newer models of Kindle will have Wifi connectivity and also instant dictionary look up feature. The device is also able to read out to you and this is very useful for the visually handicap.
